{City Creek} Trip

We spent the day at City Creek, the new shopping/eating/everything wonderful center in downtown Salt Lake City. It is beautiful! I could go there everyday, seriously everyday. Chloe has been super excited to visit the "Disneyland Store." We took a little girls trip to check everything out, and I am confident that we will be back time and time again!

We spent over an hour in the Disney Store. Chloe was in princess heaven. When we were in Santa Monica, we visited a Disney Store that had a magic mirror that showed a princess scene when a wand was waved in front of the mirror. Chloe couldn't stop talking about the mirror as we headed to City Creek, and luckily, the City Creek Disney Store has a magic mirror, too!

While we were in Nordstrom and H&M, Chloe treated us to a little impromptu dancing. Dancing in department stores is totally appropriate, right?! It was beautiful, and it even featured the splits! She is such a crazy little miss!

Chloe and I rode the FrontRunner home after a full day of shopping! We can't wait to make our next trip back to City Creek!

{Dancing} Queen

Chloe had her first dance competition on Saturday, March 24th. She was AMAZING! We have worked hard to learn her cute little dance, and she did a wonderful job! Chloe and her little class took 2nd place in their division, and we are so proud of our darling little dancer!

Chloe loves going to dance to be with her friends. Here is her cute little friend, Breckyn.

Liz came up from St. George to watch Chloe dance. It was fun to have her enjoy the competition with us.

Spring {Chicken}

Photobucket

We are the proud owners of six (yes, a HALF DOZEN) chickens! Brandon has wanted to get chickens for a couple of years, and this is our year. We brought home a few sweet little fluffy chicks a couple of weeks ago. Brandon built them a darling little coop (it even has a little window!), and Chloe and I painted it. Chloe loves the chicks, but she will only pet them with her pointer finger while Brandon holds them. They have grown into awkward "teenage" chickens. It is fun to watch them scamper around the yard. Brandon and Chloe check on them several times a day. Hopefully, they are all hens, and we will see them produce eggs in a few months.

Love to See the {Temple}

Chloe has been super interested in the temple lately. She loves it! She talks about how beautiful it is, and she tells us how excited she is to go there. It's so sweet. It makes me think about how we should all feel so anxious to go to the temple. It really is such a special place. While we were in St. George, Chloe asked if we could drive by the temple. My mom, Chloe and I took a quick walk around the temple. Chloe was so happy to be by the temple. She kept asking me if she could touch it. As we approached the steps at the front of the temple, Chloe had the biggest smile on her face. I told her that we couldn't go in right now, and she just burst into tears. What a precious little girl! I thought about how innocent and pure she is, and it made me wonder about what she knows lies within the walls of the temple. How grateful I am for the temple; I just cannot imagine what I would do without the covenants that are made there. Sometimes, the knowledge of the sacred covenants that I have made and the knowledge that our family is sealed together forever is the only thing that gets me through the day. It was a very sweet experience with our little Chloe. I couldn't help but let my thoughts wander to someday in the future when we will have a little sweet baby that has joined our family through adoption be sealed to us forever - I sure hope that day comes sooner than later :)!

Here's a picture of Chloe and I in front of the temple. She was so tearful when we were by the stairs of the temple, and it was super windy. This is the best picture we got :)!

When we got back to my parents', I tried to have Chloe tell Brandon about the Temple. I said, "Tell Dad where we went today," to which Chloe replied, "Old Navy." Haha! We did visit Old Navy, and Chloe and Maddie ran around like wild indians until Grandma bought them some beautiful sunglasses that are their "favorite!"

{Party} in Pajamas!

Liz spent Spring Break in California, and she brought Chloe and Maddie the best little present - PRINCESS PAJAMAS!!! The girls were so excited! They love princesses almost as much as they love each other. During our last visit to St. George, we pulled up to my parent's house, and Maddie and Chloe ran to each other and gave each other a huge hug. Such cute little cousins and friends!

Three attempts at a cute picture...take your pick! Haha!

Double {Date}

Chloe and I went on a fun double date with our friends Stephanie and Bode. Steph and I were friends when we were little girls, even before I moved to St. George. Steph married one of Brandon's great friends, and our kids are becoming just the best little buddies. Steph had a cute little night out planned with her Bode, and Chloe and I tagged along. It was such a fun evening filled with DISNEY on ICE and a yummy dinner.

We picked up Steph and Bode and headed to Salt Lake. Chloe slept the entire drive down, which let her store up some energy for the evening ahead of us. We parked at the Gateway and headed for dinner. We had dinner at The California Pizza Kitchen. It was so yummy! We tried a new appetizer, the Spring Rolls, they were delicious!

After dinner, we snapped a few pictures. Chloe and Bode are darling little friends. They love all the same TV shows, and Bode introduced Chloe to her new favorite food - Cheese Hot Dogs! She loves Bode, but she told us that she is going to marry his little brother, Wyatt, in the temple! So cute!

We walked to the Energy Solutions Arena for the big show. Chloe was so excited. I was a little nervous because this year Disney on Ice features Toy Story 3, which does not hold a candle to Chloe's love of princesses. We decked her out in a "Jessie" outfit, and she was ready to enjoy the show. Bode got a sweet Buzz Lightyear spinning light, and Chloe got a light up Jessie wand. They were beyond thrilled, until they spotted the $12 snowcones :)! Haha! They were awesome during the show. Chloe loved the skating. She kept telling me, "Mom, I want to do that!" It was such a great night! We'll have to make it an annual tradition. I enjoyed a very special evening with my very special girl!

A {Sticky] Situation

One of Chloe's favorite parts about visiting St. George is going to "Grammer's office." She loves to go see Grandma Kris at work and pick out a ton of the little stickers that are handed out to patients at the end of their visit. Chloe decided to get super creative with her sticker supply, and she created a beautiful little mural on our bedroom wall! What a masterpiece!

Chloe and her Aunt Liz are the very best of friends. Liz came to our house to visit for a couple of days last weekend, our time together with a super fun shopping trip. Chloe and Liz tried on several sweet accessories at Target.
